Nicole discovered Yoga in 1995 while managing sports related injuries. Like many others, she was first drawn to yoga’s intense workouts and later uncovered the wealth of benefits it offers. Her background of physics and math fuel a passion for the science behind the postures and breathing practices. She is intrigued by Yoga’s role in creating and maintaining optimal health. Nicole was given the Sanskrit name Dharani, meaning Mother Earth.

With Nicole’s sense of humor, students find themselves at ease in class, whether they be a brand new beginner or an advanced practitioner. She seamlessly weaves inspirational Yogic philosophy into the movement classes, connecting the body to the mind and spirit. She believes her purpose is to help others uncover what is in their own hearts, their dharma, releasing whatever does not serve them, and harmonizing their heart with every aspect of their lives.

Nicole completed her 200 Hour Certification through Sundari Yoga and Wellness in 2007 and has been studying in the 500 Hour Program with Sheryl and Neil Edsall of Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock, NJ since 2014.  She has taught Yoga to adults and children in various places including Northampton Community College, studios, and gyms. Nicole is a co-founder of Summit School of the Poconos, Monroe county’s first project based school for children and currently serves on the Board of Directors. In 2016, she delivered a TEDx talk entitled “Movement and Mind,” a discussion of why physical movement is essential for optimal brain development.
